SOME ESSENTIAL READING:
ABLV (Australian Bat Lyssavirus) is a very rare rabies-associated virus and some Australian bats can be infected. There have been only 3 confirmed human cases of Australian Bat Lyssavirus within the past 20 years. Therefore, it is very important to never handle bats – leave this to the vaccinated Bat Carers.
